Spring field trip to Art in Bloom

Recently, three of our super talented Shady Ladies participated in the Art in Bloom exhibition at William King Museum in Abingdon, VA.  Sara Bowers, Anne Reid and Heather Jacobs joined designers from around the region for this special three day event. Each designer interpreted a work of art in flowers and the design was displayed alongside the work of art.  Several of us travelled up to Abingdon to see the display. It was breathtaking. These ladies created such beautiful, glorious and unique designs.

Sara and Anne chose pieces from the Heritage collection. Sara chose a crazy quilt and Anne chose a magnificent green woven chair. Heather completed two designs, both inspired by work in the Suzanne Stryk exhibition. Here are some photos.
