Welcome to Shady Oaks Garden Club in Johnson City, TN.
The Shady Oaks Garden Club was formed in 1958 and federated in 1959. We are a member of the Tennessee Federation of Garden Clubs and the National Garden Clubs Inc. We are a friendly, active organization that welcomes all.
Our mission is to help beautify Johnson City and to increase appreciation and awareness of horticulture, landscape and 
floral design, gardening and environmental concerns. We provide financial and hands-on support to a variety of municipal, educational and environmental organizations.
Our monthly programs cover a wide variety of topics, featuring lively lectures from regional experts and an active schedule of hands-on workshops and field trips. We organize a popular biennial garden tour and plant sale and we mount a standard flower show on alternating years.
